Danielle Carr
Voice
Danielle Carr is a singer-songwriter, producer, and pianist based in NYC. With her degree in music technology from Manhattanville College, she has sought out opportunities to not only showcase her skills, but to highlight and strengthen the skills of others. Danielle enjoys teaching classes to infants and toddlers through students in the 8th grade. Her teaching background comprises both group classes and private lessons in both public and private schools. If ever you’d like to hear her perform you can regularly catch Danielle at a show or a new musical project.
Matt Compito
Voice
Matt has been teaching private music lessons for over 10 years, bringing a wealth of experience and a unique, empathetic teaching approach to every student. Attending Berklee College of Music with a focus on Voice and Guitar performance, Matt has not only honed technical skills but also developed an understanding of the pedagogical needs of diverse learners, including those with special needs. Matt’s teaching philosophy centers on harnessing each student’s curiosity, making the learning experience both fun and effective. With a calm persistence, Matt works through setbacks with students, ensuring they understand that their goals are attainable and progress is within reach.
In addition to private lessons, Matt has led music therapy groups and performed extensively, both as a solo artist and with numerous local bands. Matt’s expertise spans a variety of genres including jazz, rock, pop, blues, funk, and country. By encouraging improvisation and exploration, alongside a solid foundation of rudimental and technical understanding, Matt creates a balanced and engaging learning environment. Passionate about teaching students of all ages and abilities, Matt is excited to be part of the Chappaqua community and to help make music a wonderful part of your children’s lives.
Adrienne McKay
Voice
Adrienne has been teaching music and performing as a professional musician for more than 14 years and has performed with her trio at festivals, jazz clubs, cruise ships and hotels around the world. Adrienne also loves teaching students of all ages the art of improvising in the styles of jazz and blues from beginner to advanced levels.
Vanessa Racci
Voice
Vanessa’s vocal lessons embody her life-long love of singing and performing. Here, she shares practical, musical, and theoretical skills with aspiring singers of all ages. Her areas of expertise include elementary pedagogy, musical theater, pop & jazz standards, and classical music with a specialty in Italian music to help students express the meaning of the lyric. After touring throughout the country, Vanessa has returned home to set down her roots in Westchester.
